Yep, I finally did it. I started a blog! But not because everyone else is doing it. In fact, the fact that everyone else has been blog-crazy lately is what kept me from starting one for so long. But finally, yesterday, I had several thoughts that I wanted to spout to the world. I wished I had a soapbox...or a blog! And then I was like, WHERE'S MY LOBSTER? And it was settled. Time for a blog!
And yes, I realize that the originality of my title is stunning. But please, don't ask how I do it, because sometimes genius can't be explained.
So there it is. And now, if anyone is actually reading this, I have a question for you. (This is one of those thoughts I wanted to say to the world yesterday). So let's say there's a person who's in authority over you in some way, like a teacher or coach, but they are completely out of control and treat you and your fellow classmates or teammates with ridiculously little respect. Is it better to be submissive and respect their position? Or should you stand up for yourselves? I'm personally torn with this one. Our generation has little regard for respect of authority, which is a problem, but is there a point where no respect is due?

bahaha. aubrey. i have to say that i've never had so much joy in reading a blog post as i just did. you are fantastic. as for your little snippet of a question, i would say STAND UP TO THE MAN! authoritative figures do need to be respected, but only when it's earned, not just because of status.
